How good does this before and after project look at this property located in the beautiful Illawarra suburb of Figtree, just a stone’s throw from Wollongong, Mangerton, Unanderra and Keiraville. There was an existing timber structure that the client removed themselves in readiness for something new and fresh to be enjoyed by everyone, all year round. Trusting in Signature Pergolas and Decks to design a Pergola that was going to maximise the outdoor space, we got to work transforming this concrete slab into a place to relax and enjoy meals alfresco with protection from the weather.
This property had a very high wind rating of N3 being based by the coast with those strong sea breezes, meaning it required more posts and beams than a property with an N1 rating would need. Needless to say, we designed the structure so that it would still blend in well with the upper area, using a smaller post. The frame is a Stratco Outback Frame in the colour Woodland Grey and the Cooldek Roof topside colour is Woodland Grey with the smooth Off-white underside to give that very sleek modern look.
